I've been using Firefox since beta.
It rocks, and I love it.
I never use IE anymore, except to test layouts on web pages (although Firefox is better to test, since it'll expose errors that IE will overlook... which is good for surfers, bad for developers).
...and I have never experienced a single issue with Firefox to date.
My old computer XP Professional version (without XP SP2) ran Firefox like a charm. New computer with Windows Home & SP2 already installed, doesn't like Firefox at all.
I wanted to try Opera, but don't like to pay for browsers.
I like to have firefox and IE running at the same time, if i'm not sure of the site I use firefox but if I know the site I still use IE.

That very well could have been why I am not seeing a good response from it. I didn't install it until after I upgraded to SP 2
well, that's 3 folks with SP2 and Firefox problems...
not a coincidence, if y'ask me.
